32. FISH POSE-MATSYASANA


Instructions:

1. Lie on your back.
2. Breathing in bend your neck, raising your chin up to bring your head on to the floor.
3. Remain in this position for 5 to 8 seconds, breathing in and out slowly, concentrating on the breathing.
4. Breathing out come to pose number 1.

Benefits: Cures neck and back problems. Helps in asthma and other breathing problems.

Variation:
 



Instructions:
1. Sit in Padmasana posture with your left foot over your right thigh and your right foot over your left thigh.
2. Hold your toes with your fingers and breathing in, bend back to lie on the floor.
3. Bend your neck backwards to place the top of your head on the ground. Try to make an arc of your back.
4. Remain in this position for 5 to 8 seconds, breathing in and out slowly, concentrating on the breathing.
5. Leave your toes and bring palms to hips. Fold your elbows to support the body weight on them.
6. Lift head up, straighten neck and come back to the floor.
7. Come back to Lotus position.
