48. HALF LORD OF THE FISHES POSE - ARDHA MATSYENDRASANA


48. Half Lord of the Fishes Pose - Ardha Matsyendrasana

Also called seated spinal twist.

 


Instructions:

1. From seated position, lift your right feet and place it outside your left thigh.
2. Twist your body to look to the left, bringing your right elbow outside your left thigh. Keep your spine straight.
3. Remain in this position breathing in and out slowly, concentrating on the breathing.

Benefits: cleanses the internal organs, stretches the spine and shoulders.
